Job Title: CPU Microarchitecture

We are seeking a talented CPU Microarchitecture professional to join our team at Rivos. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance CPU microarchitectures.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and specify CPU microarchitectures from early high-level architectural exploration to detailed specification.
  • Design, assess, and refine RTL designs to meet power, performance, area, and timing goals.
  • Validate RTL designs through test bench development and simulation for functional and performance verification.
  • Explore high-performance strategies and validate that the RTL design meets targeted performance.
  • Work with a multi-functional engineering team to implement and validate physical design on timing, area, reliability, testability, and power.
Requirements:
  • Thorough knowledge of microprocessor architecture and microarchitecture in areas such as memory management, load/store execution, cache and memory subsystems, bus interface, debug features, and power management.
  • Knowledge of System Verilog and experience with simulators and waveform debugging tools.
  • Understanding of logic design principles, timing, and power implications.
  • Experience in C or C++ programming and knowledge of interpretive languages such as Perl or Python.
  • PhD, Master's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in a technical subject area.
