About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Patient Experience Coordinator to join our team at Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care and service.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively engage with patients and the healthcare team to impact the patient experience in a positive way.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement at the front line as well as any hospital-wide process change or improvement necessary to achieve a high level of patient satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development of excellent, patient-focused service and communication across all units to increase patient satisfaction.
  • Act as the main liaison between the hospital and the clerk of court, ensuring legal application of the involuntary commitment process.
  • Act as backup in the absence of the Patient Advocate.
  • Attend mandatory in-services and/or complete required web-based training.
  • Demonstrate respect and tolerance for all patients without regard to age, gender, race, national origin, disability status, religion, and/or lifestyle choice(s).
  • Assume responsibility for professional development and ongoing education.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred.
  • Five years' experience in patient care setting and/or human services field required if HS diploma. Two years' experience in patient care setting and/or human services field required if BS or BA.
  • Proficiency with computer use, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to utilize confidentiality and ensure patient health information is protected.
  • Ability to deal with diverse and stressful situations in a calm manner.
  • Must be detailed orientated with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to develop professional rapport quickly and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients.
