Job Title: Senior Certified Coatings Inspector

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Certified Coatings Inspector to join our team at Pacific Shipyards International, LLC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coatings inspection and a proven track record of ensuring quality and compliance in a fast-paced shipyard environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough coatings inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Develop and implement coatings inspection programs to ensure quality and consistency
Provide training and guidance to junior inspectors on coatings inspection techniques and procedures
Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve coatings-related issues
Maintain accurate records of inspections and testing results

Requirements:
5+ years of experience in coatings inspection, with a minimum of 3 years in a NACE Level III role
Proven track record of ensuring quality and compliance in a fast-paced shipyard environment
Strong knowledge of coatings inspection techniques and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Working Conditions:
This position requires working in a fast-paced shipyard environment with exposure to heat, cold, and humidity, industrial odors, fumes, gasses, chemicals, oil, grease, smoke, dust, noise, and vibration. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for this position, including hearing protection, safety glasses, safety boots, face shield, welding helmet, welding gloves, welding sleeves/jacket (leather or cloth), and welding apron/chaps. A respirator may also be required.

Must have a participative management style
Must be able to demonstrate good leadership skills
Must be able to work well with all levels of management
Must have good written, verbal, and listening communication skills
Must have a broad knowledge of test and inspection methods, procedures, and equipment
Must show proof of your legal right to work in the United States
Must be able to successfully obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) Credential to gain access to federally controlled work sites
Must be able to pass a post-offer drug screening and background check
Must have a valid State of Hawaii drivers' license in good standing, class 3 or higher
