Job Summary:
The Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs at Trulite Glass & Aluminum Solutions. This role involves ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies' requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EHS programs to protect employees and maintain safe working conditions.
- Conduct risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and complaints, and develop corrective action plans to prevent reoccurrences.
- Collaborate with management and maintenance to ensure equipment is installed correctly and safely.
- Manage environmental tasks, including permitting and inspections, to ensure compliance with state, federal, and company standards.
- Develop and maintain records, reports, and statistics related to EHS performance.
- Provide leadership and development on EHS matters, including training and education programs.
- Assist with OSHA audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Continuously evaluate and improve EHS programs to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Safety or equivalent, or two years' experience as a safety professional.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong training and development skills.
- Experience working with quality systems is a plus.
