Position Overview

The Insurance Application Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the lifecycle of insurance applications from the moment they are received until they are successfully placed. This position requires a strong foundation in the insurance industry, along with the ability to manage various cases while fostering a positive and proactive attitude. The Insurance Application Specialist is a key player in the organization, directly influencing revenue and maintaining essential relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Update all stakeholders on the status of applications
  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge of systems to fulfill responsibilities and assist others
  • Apply understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines
  • Engage with clients both verbally and in writing to clarify their requests and gather necessary documentation
  • Oversee the ordering and collection of all underwriting requirements
  • Ensure compliance with suitability approvals and agent signature processes
  • Maintain organized, compliant, and accurate files, ensuring electronic records are complete post-issuance
  • Provide timely updates and follow-ups on application statuses
  • Prepare policies for issuance, including assembly and final delivery documentation
  • Perform additional tasks such as imaging, faxing, copying, and filing
  • Consistently achieve or surpass productivity and quality benchmarks established by the department

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with a focus on documentation
