Preventive Maintenance: Take charge of preventive maintenance tasks, including scheduling and thorough documentation.
Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, quality, and consistency in production.
New Product Development: Participate in the launch of new products, focusing on aspects such as racking, drainage holes, masking, and cycle times.
Production Monitoring: Analyze production metrics to assess efficiency, comparing quoted rates to benchmarks.
Team Leadership: Engage with team members, assigning tasks in alignment with the production schedule.
Process Oversight: Track parts throughout the production line, ensuring accurate documentation in the ERP system.
Cycle Speed Management: Monitor and control the cycle speed of the paint line.
Color Coding Compliance: Ensure that parts are correctly color-coded as per specifications.
Efficient Arrangement: Organize production items to optimize workflow.
Quarterly Maintenance: Participate in quarterly preventive maintenance on the washout tank.
Daily Compliance Testing: Conduct daily compliance tests, including water testing.
Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Work EnvironmentThe role requires the ability to:
- Lift up to 40 lbs.
- Work around moving machinery, forklifts, and sharp metal objects.
- Be available for scheduled overtime and weekends.
- Operate in high-temperature conditions.
- Wear protective safety gear throughout each shift.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong communication skills.
- Previous management experience.
- Experience in powder coating management.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Capability to interpret written work orders to maintain production levels and output of finished painted units.
