Job Summary:
The Nurse Unit Manager will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing nursing services for residents on the assigned unit. This includes ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement nursing care plans for residents
- Supervise and direct nursing staff to ensure high-quality care
- Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and make recommendations for care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Ensure adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, and equipment
Requirements:
- Nursing degree (Registered Nurse) from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 2 years of direct care experience in a skilled nursing community
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, laws, and regulations
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication and leadership skills
