Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our team at ResProp Management. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for providing financial support and guidance to our operations teams, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, and driving process improvements to enhance our financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Review and analyze financial data for 10-12 properties to ensure accuracy and completeness, and prepare financial reports for management, investors, and banks.
  • Accounting Support: Assist in the monthly reconciliations of all monthly closeout activities, and provide support and assistance to operations teammates on accounting-related matters for properties.
  • Process Improvement: Complete special projects, including automating and increasing efficiencies of processes, developing training materials, creating value-add reports, and providing support to other departments.
  • Leadership and Development: Coach and mentor staff accountants, and communicate directly with regional and senior management to influence the development and growth of our accounting machine.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, and a minimum of 5-7 years of work experience; CPA or previous public accounting experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent understanding of GAAP, experience with financial reporting, excellent communication skills, experience training staff, good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills, accuracy and attention to detail, and excellent computer skills, including advanced computerized accounting systems, Excel, and Resman and Yardi.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong attention to detail, unwavering integrity, and a desire to thrive and be successful in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
