Valeo Resources is collaborating with a comprehensive health organization. We are currently looking for candidates for the position of Chief Executive Officer. In this capacity, you will oversee our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility, which delivers intensive behavioral health services to children and adolescents (ages 7-17) diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The program aims to equip youth with educational opportunities, essential life skills, and a variety of therapeutic services that have proven effective in enhancing outcomes for at-risk and vulnerable populations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the program, ensuring accountability to: our mission, vision, and core values
- Adheres to applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Implements policies and procedures
- Meets performance targets as defined by the organization's balanced scorecard
- Coordinates with support departments to meet deadlines and operational needs
- Oversees the annual financial plan
- Achieves objectives outlined by the Board of Directors
- Collaborates with the team to establish treatment methodologies that embrace trauma-informed care principles, emphasizing comfort over control, and focusing on measurable outcomes that facilitate successful transitions to community-based care
- Partners with supervisors to build high-quality teams that distinguish us from competitors in the field.
- Ensures that academic, residential, and clinical services are managed to promote integration, efficiency, and positive outcomes for residents within the program
- Holds all staff accountable for their job responsibilities, including administrative personnel reporting to central departments. Provides support to those who do not meet job expectations and authorizes terminations when necessary
- Supervises program administrators and other relevant personnel. Acts as the team leader of the PRT Operations Team, which includes the Medical Director, Education Administrator, Clinical Administrator, Residential Administrator (if applicable), and Case Management Supervisor.
- Ensures that consultants engaged by the programs fulfill their contractual obligations
- Provides oversight for Human Resources Managers, Quality Assurance Supervisors, Maintenance Supervisors, and Dietary Managers. Collaborates with corporate directors to adapt job responsibilities to the needs of the PRT, assess performance, and identify staff development requirements
- Organizes staff into teams to achieve program objectives and designs accountability systems for both teams and individuals
- Participates in relevant local and national meetings to enhance the organization's reputation and stay informed about developments critical to our strategic planning
- Maintains positive relationships with agencies that fund residents in the program. Acts as a liaison to other providers and seeks collaborative opportunities.
- Develops and monitors the PRT budget; ensures that staff have a general understanding of budget assumptions and constraints. Demonstrates effective financial management of PRT operations
- Ensures that policies and procedures support program operations; recommends changes as necessary. Adapts organizational processes to meet the PRT's needs, emphasizing simplicity, efficiency, and staff support
- Acts as a point of appeal for families and agencies whose concerns have not been addressed by program staff. Works to resolve these concerns.
- Builds capacity to treat a diverse range of consumers with varying needs through collaborative efforts
- Actively manages facilities to promote sustainable growth in census
- Fosters a culture of team ownership regarding processes and outcomes. Empowers team members to drive best practices and innovation.
- Participates in various committees
- Markets the organization's services and represents it at community events
- Collaborates with the program support team to identify key areas of need that will shape future priorities
- Directs the on-call rotation as required by the PRT campus
- Master's degree in a human services field, special education, or a related discipline preferred; plus
- 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in implementing, evaluating, and reviewing programs that involve delivering clinical, therapeutic, and/or educational services to clients, preferably in a children's residential setting; and
- Experience in administration and supervision OR
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
