About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Piedmont Newton Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication
  • Participate in pre-shift huddles to discuss patient care and operational priorities
  • Utilize advanced technology, including A.I.D.E.T and patient communication boards, to enhance patient care and communication
  • Comply with quality initiatives and regulatory requirements
  • Work collaboratively with nurse-selected order sets and provider-approved order sets to ensure accurate and timely patient care
  • Manage patient care techs and other support staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care
  • Participate in unit-based education and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting teamwork, communication, and respect

Requirements
  • Graduate of a nursing program
  • Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
  • BLS certification required
  • One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
