Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Piedmont Newton. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Utilize A.I.D.E.T and patient communication boards to enhance patient care and communication
  • Comply with quality initiatives and utilize nurse-selected order sets based on provider-approved order sets
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet the needs of our patients
  • Participate in pre-shift huddles and daily operations to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
  • Utilize a provider in triage during peak volumes and work collaboratively with patient care techs to assist with care
  • Participate in unit-based education and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Qualifications
  • Graduate of a nursing program
  • New graduates of a nursing program eligible
  • Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
  • BLS certification required
  • One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable
