Position Summary
We are seeking a diligent and observant Bar Support Specialist to enhance our beverage service. The ideal candidate will collaborate with our team to provide seamless service to our guests. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness at the bar, preparing garnishes, and ensuring that all necessary supplies are readily available. A successful Bar Support Specialist will be knowledgeable about our menu offerings and committed to delivering exceptional service in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the opening and closing procedures, including restocking garnishes, straws, and napkins.
  • Ensure the bar is adequately stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer.
  • Monitor and maintain the functionality of taps and appliances, performing minor repairs as needed.
  • Uphold cleanliness by regularly wiping surfaces, sweeping, mopping, and managing waste disposal.
  • Familiarize yourself with menu items and cocktail recipes to provide informed service.
  • Engage with customers, take orders, prepare drinks, and manage payments, especially during busy periods.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory usage to assist in the reordering process.

Standards Compliance
Ensure that all products used align with the specifications set by the Beverage Director and adhere to menu guidelines. This includes:

  • Communicating any menu changes to management and staff.
  • Overseeing the proper organization and cleanliness of the bar area.
  • Ensuring correct measurements and ingredients are utilized in cocktail preparation.
  • Building rapport with guests to foster repeat business.

Qualifications

  • Ability to anticipate the needs of guests and the establishment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a full-service dining environment.
