Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Lifeguard PRN Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals. As a Lifeguard PRN Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment and ensuring the safety of staff, members, and guests in the pool area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe environment by ensuring the pool deck is dry, clean, and clear of obstacles.
  • Perform water tests on pools and spas at specified times and report any problems to the supervisor or building manager immediately.
  • Ensure the safety of staff, members, and guests in the pool area by being vigilant and proactive in preventing aquatic emergencies.
  • Respond to aquatic emergencies and provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) takes over.
Requirements
  • High School Equivalent / GED Preferred
  • Previous lifeguard experience preferred
  • Current lifeguard training certificate (including First Aid, AED, CPR for Professional Rescuer) from American Red Cross or equivalent nationally recognized organization required
  • Water Safety Instructor certification preferred
