Position Summary: Inch & Co is looking for a reliable and meticulous Cleaner to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of shared spaces within our multifamily residential communities. This role is vital for creating a safe, inviting, and immaculate atmosphere for residents, visitors, and staff alike. The perfect candidate will be proactive, organized, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Upkeep:
    • Conduct daily cleaning of communal areas including lobbies, corridors, elevators, staircases, lounges, fitness facilities, laundry areas, and mailrooms.
    • Perform vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, window cleaning, and dusting of surfaces.
    • Manage waste disposal by emptying trash and recycling bins, replacing liners, and maintaining cleanliness in disposal areas.
    • Ensure that restrooms in common areas are thoroughly cleaned, stocked with necessary supplies, and sanitized appropriately.
    • Disinfect high-contact surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, and handrails.
  • Exterior and Outdoor Maintenance:
    • Maintain cleanliness of entryways, sidewalks, parking lots, pools, and patios.
    • Regularly monitor and empty outdoor trash receptacles and cigarette disposal units.
    • Perform light snow removal, leaf clearing, and seasonal outdoor cleaning tasks as required.
  • Safety Protocols and Reporting:
    • Identify and report any safety risks, damages, or maintenance issues (e.g., lightbulb changes, broken fixtures) to the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
    • Keep track of cleaning supplies and request restocking when necessary.
    • Follow safety guidelines, including the proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Assist in the cleaning and preparation of vacant units as directed by the Property Manager.
    • Support special events or additional cleaning projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred, particularly in residential or commercial environments.
  • Ability to follow directions and work with minimal oversight.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Physical endurance to perform repetitive tasks, stand for long periods, and lift/move cleaning equipment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with residents and staff.
  • Willingness to work on weekends or holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Capability to bend, reach, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended durations.
