Key Responsibilities

Your expertise as a Healthcare Social Worker will be crucial in:

  • Evaluating patients' emotional and social needs, addressing medically related issues on an individual basis
  • Assessing patients' needs and developing effective care plans to promote effective care
  • Facilitating referrals to community agencies and resources when necessary
  • Providing direct clinical therapeutic services as part of a comprehensive patient care plan
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's Degree in Social Work from a Council on Social Work Education-accredited program
  • 1-2 years of experience in healthcare social work, with 3-5 years preferred
  • Certified Social Worker (CSW-PIP) License in South Dakota, with multi-state licensure possible
