POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role is essential for preparing and serving wholesome meals to students in a safe and hygienic environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and serve meals in accordance with established menus and portion guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness by performing duties such as sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes and equipment.
- Brew beverages and manage beverage stations, ensuring proper setup of food areas.
- Deliver food to staff and students as needed, including catering events.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations for food handling.
- Follow security protocols and guidelines specific to the location.
- Check and organize incoming supplies.
- Comply with assigned break schedules.
- Assist in collecting and cleaning trays for dishwashing.
- Store utensils and kitchenware appropriately.
- Participate in safety committees and attend mandatory training sessions.
- Handle cash transactions and manage point-of-sale systems if required.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Follow all company policies and procedures diligently.
- Support the mission and objectives set forth by the organization.
- Comply with food handling certification requirements.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English to understand job responsibilities.
- Preferred: One year of experience in food service.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
- Must pass background screening.
- Cash handling experience is essential.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The role involves frequent sitting, walking, talking, and hearing.
- Must be able to use hands for handling objects and reach with arms.
- Standing for the majority of the workday is required, along with regular movement.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, with some twisting involved.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work primarily takes place in a kitchen and serving area.
- Requires standing for extended periods.
- Involves movement in and out of storage areas and exposure to temperature variations.
- Moderate to loud noise levels may be present.
