Nurse Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to join our Clinical Research Unit at UTHealth Houston. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing and supervising nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate schedules of department physicians, administrative, and nursing staff to ensure adequate coverage and maximum utilization of manpower.
- Manage duty assignments of clinical staff, including staff nurses, licensed vocational nurses, and medical assistants, based on availability of physicians and patient load.
- Monitor departmental expenditures against a budget and compile daily and monthly administrative reports.
- Work closely with Department Chairman's Office, Human Resources, Emergency Room, clinical quality and safety, Purchasing, area hospitals, and laboratories.
Requirements:
- Current nursing licensure in the State of Texas.
- BLS Certification.
- ACLS/PALS Certification preferred.
- Certification in area of specialty preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school.
- Three years of experience required; prior supervisory experience preferred.
