Overview

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients in acute, chronic, and emergency situations
  • Perform routine ventilator and artificial airway treatments in critical and general care areas
  • Assist physicians and perform routine and respiratory care activities as necessary
  • Accurately and completely document respiratory care by following established charting procedures
  • Select, assemble, and check respiratory care equipment for proper operation and cleanliness
Requirements
  • Graduate of a CoARC-accredited approved school
  • Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) by the state of Georgia
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association
