Sociology Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified part-time Sociology Instructor to join our faculty at El Paso Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Sociology courses and contributing to the academic excellence of our institution.

• Teach Sociology courses in a part-time capacity, adhering to the college's curriculum and instructional standards.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations to promote student learning and success.
• Provide students with clear course syllabi, outlining course objectives, expectations, and evaluation criteria.
• Use effective teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Submit syllabi and course materials to the Division Office by the end of the first week of classes.
• Participate in faculty orientation, professional development, and community engagement activities to enhance teaching and learning.

• Master's degree in Sociology or a related field, with 18 graduate semester hours in Sociology.
• Experience teaching Sociology courses, preferably at the community college level.
• Ability to incorporate technology into the classroom and engage students in active learning.
