Sociology Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified part-time Sociology Instructor to join our faculty at El Paso Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Sociology courses and contributing to the academic excellence of our institution.

• Teach Sociology courses in a part-time capacity, adhering to the approved course syllabus and ensuring student success.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to students of varying educational backgrounds and learning styles.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote academic growth.
• Participate in faculty orientation, professional development, and community engagement activities to enhance teaching and learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Master's degree in Sociology or a related field with 18 graduate semester hours in Sociology.
• Experience teaching Sociology courses, preferably at the community college level.
• Ability to incorporate technology into the classroom and engage students in active learning.
