As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care to our adolescent residents, ensuring their safety and well-being, and supporting the therapeutic milieu.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents while supporting the therapeutic milieu.
- Participate in the development and implementation of residents' behavioral programs, providing care and close supervision, and documenting behavior.
- Develop positive relationships with residents, implementing treatment plans, and providing crisis intervention as necessary.
- Observe peer culture, recommend and implement solutions as needed, and participate in residents' group therapy.
- Attend staff development training to meet facility and regulatory requirements, demonstrating thorough program knowledge.
- Maintain professional relationships with members of all departments and direct care staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Higher level education in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or related experience preferred.
- One (1) year experience in a residential treatment or children's services program preferred.
- Valid state driver's license.
