Job Summary

We are seeking a Tax Senior Associate to join our team at Forvis Mazars. As a Tax Senior Associate, you will provide tax compliance, tax provision, and tax advisory services to pass-through and C-corporation entities, with a focus on companies operating in the manufacturing and distribution, construction and real estate, professional services and technology, and financial institutions industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Tax Compliance Services: Assist clients with tax compliance, including preparation of tax returns, audits, and other tax-related matters.
  • Offer Tax Advisory Services: Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients, including analysis of tax implications and development of tax strategies.
  • Supervise and Develop Tax Staff: Supervise and develop the skills of junior tax staff, including training and coaching.
  • Develop and Manage Client Relationships: Develop and manage relationships with clients, including communication and coordination of tax services.
  • Represent Forvis Mazars: Represent Forvis Mazars in the marketplace, including participation in networking events and proposal processes.
  • Participate in Campus Recruiting: Participate in campus recruiting initiatives and programs to attract top talent.
  • Contribute to Technical Guidance: Contribute to the development of technical guidance for internal and external publications, as well as internal learning and development sessions.
Requirements
  • Relevant Experience: Relevant progressive experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate tax and public accounting experience.
  • Strong Supervisory Skills: Excellent supervisory, team-building, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solution-Finding Attitude: A solution-finding attitude and willingness to take initiative.
  • Attention to Detail: Precise attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, and CPA license or have secured the educational requirements to satisfy the 150-credit hour requirement necessary to obtain a CPA license.
