Job Summary:

As a Procurement Specialist at Rev-Tech Manufacturing Solutions LLC, you will be responsible for procuring materials using our Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to support the company's operational requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Purchase materials using MRP to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods.
  • Establish optimal order quantities based on demand and forecast to minimize inventory levels.
  • Update open purchase orders in the MRP system to reflect changes in delivery dates, part revisions, or other updates.
  • Proactively manage vendors to ensure on-time delivery and quality of materials.
  • Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, considering price, lead time, quality, and shipping costs.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing suppliers to ensure a stable supply chain.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve overall company efficiency.
  • Work with suppliers to identify cost-saving opportunities based on part dimensioning, surface finish, and material type.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the company's goals.
  • Adhere to the company's Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience.
  • Previous experience using an MRP system to make purchases.
  • Ability to interpret 2D drawings and technical specifications.
  • Prior experience working with machine shops is a plus.
  • Associate's degree from a two-year college or equivalent experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and MRP systems.
  • Proficiency in computer-based programs such as Excel, Word, and Access.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
