Job Summary

Power Systems Mfg., LLC is seeking a skilled Welding Technician to join our team in the execution of weld prep, welding, and visual weld inspection of gas turbine airfoil components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and install welding equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Execute welding on gas turbine components in accordance with technical specifications and customer requirements.
  • Conduct quality checks on performed work to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Prepare and confirm quality documentation, including reporting used production time per production step.
  • Collaborate with engineering staff to set up welding parameters, select consumable materials, and prepare work pieces for new welding process trials.
  • Design and fabricate welding fixtures, chill blocks, and purge boxes as required.
  • Report technical deviations using the Non Conformance Reporting System (NCR).
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment and tools.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment and adhere to Environmental Health and Safety regulations.
  • Continuously improve operations and the working environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Certified in welding (TIG & MIG).
  • 3+ years of experience with TIG welding.
  • 3+ years of experience in a production or maintenance environment.
  • 1+ years of experience with welding of Ni-base or Ni-Cr alloys.
  • Experience in carrying out visual inspections of welds.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Working Conditions

Regularly works around moving mechanical parts. Noise level may be loud at times.
