About the Role:

ApTask is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Software Developer to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering high-quality software projects in Java, SQL/Oracle, J2EE, and other Java technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in detailed design, coding, code walkthroughs, peer code reviews, and unit testing, system testing, UAT, demos, POCs, installation, and maintenance of software modules.
  • Ensure the preparation of software prototypes, system architecture, software design documents, user interfaces, code files, code review artifacts, test plans, test cases, installation/deployment documents, release documents, and technical documentation.
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentations, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code, ensuring that project tasks are completed in defined effort and timelines.
  • Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Test solutions by writing test cases, unit testing, system testing, and negative testing.
  • Troubleshoot by analyzing logs and database query optimization.
  • Improve operations by conducting system analysis.
  • Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
  • Protect operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
  • Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying system flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, and following delivery cycles.

Requirements:
  • Application of technical knowledge, system analysis, and evaluation.
  • Testing - application of technical knowledge, critical thinking, and analytical abilities, attitude to test-to-break, problem-solving, willingness to learn, and suggest process improvement.
  • Computer Science Graduate with 2-4 years of experience in software development across a wide variety of development projects.
  • Knowledge of current technological trends in the software development industry, such as OOP's, multi-tier software development, component architecture, and web-based software.
  • Knowledge of system integration issues.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data and draw logical conclusions.
  • Proficiency in Java, JSP, Servlets, EJB, SQL/Oracle, J2EE, and other Java technologies.
