Position Summary: We are currently seeking a Senior Cabling Solutions Supervisor to join our team. This is a full-time opportunity aimed at overseeing structured cabling projects in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Duties:

  • Installation of cable systems including CAT5/E, CAT6, and Fiber optics.
  • Organizing and routing cables into IT closets, modular workstations, and various outlet points.
  • Implementing cable pathways using J-hooks, D-rings, cable trays, and ladder racks.
  • Ensuring proper cable management through dressing and labeling.
  • Performing cable terminations at patch panels, jacks, keystones, and RJ-45/modular plugs.
  • Installing Wireless Access Points (WAP), Fiber ONT, and Network Switches.
  • Constructing IT closets with necessary components such as data racks, ladder racks, and patch panels.
  • Executing fiber splicing, installation, and testing, utilizing tools like Fluke and OTDR.
  • Interpreting and adhering to installation blueprints.
  • Following established safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE and maintaining a clean job site.

Management Responsibilities:

  • Leading teams to successfully complete large-scale commercial projects.
  • Engaging in general contractor and client management.
  • Conducting safety briefings and meetings.
  • Coordinating the procurement of necessary materials.
  • Forecasting labor requirements accurately.
  • Managing blueprint modifications and submitting change orders to the Project Manager.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial structured cabling and low voltage installations.
  • Familiarity with BICSI standards for installations.
  • OSHA 10 certification is preferred.
  • Scissor/Boom Lift Certification is advantageous.
  • Certifications in Hilti, Fall Protection, and Confined Space are preferred.

Physical Requirements: Candidates must be able to work at heights, utilize ladders or scissor lifts, and navigate confined spaces. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move items weighing up to 75 pounds, as well as the capacity to remain on foot for the duration of the shift.

Tools Required: Proficiency with basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, torpedo levels, tape measures, snips, pliers, cable strippers, punch tools, modular plug crimpers, flashlights, and safety gear including steel-toed boots and gloves.
