Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, architect, and lead strategic Privacy Engineering projects.
  • Create technical solutions to enforce privacy protocols.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams across Character to establish a comprehensive framework and develop tools for anonymizing both user and third-party data.
  • Work alongside the Legal department to define protocols for data minimization, retention, and deletion, and develop the technology to execute these protocols.
  • Partner with the Data team to implement effective data governance strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Security team to address data protection challenges.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in privacy-related projects or backend development.
  • In-depth understanding of scalable data privacy solutions.
  • Proven experience in developing high-performance services, with strong proficiency in Python and/or Golang.
  • Experience with both relational and non-relational databases.
  • Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Compensation:

Estimated Salary: $150K – $350K
