EEE PIECE PARTS PROCESS ENGINEER – TEMPORARY ROLEThe EEE Process Engineer is essential in aiding the design engineering team to enhance system reliability. This role ensures that SpaceX can effectively utilize commercial electronics from various manufacturers.
The EEE Process Engineer is a vital contributor in addressing unexpected component failures, requiring swift decision-making to implement mitigations by coordinating relevant teams and driving projects to completion.
This position influences all phases of design and production, necessitating collaboration with supply chain, design engineers, and manufacturing teams.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Resolve Avionics EEE piece part reliability challenges and risks
• Identify, monitor, communicate, and manage part change notifications and GIDEP alerts
• Oversee and track manufacturing bills of materials and their effects on EEE piece part approval processes
• Collaborate with supply chain, design engineers, and production/manufacturing teams
• Manage data within Agile systems
POSITION DETAILS:
This is a TEMPORARY role with SpaceX, subject to change based on business requirements.
POSITION DURATION:
7 months
WORK SHIFT:
1st shift
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Recent experience with SQL and basic database management (1 year)
• Familiarity with the Atlassian tool JIRA (1 year)
• Over 2 years of experience in managing electronic bills of materials
• Experience in areas such as electrical designs (components, circuits, PCBA's, or electronic assemblies), system architecture, supply chain, purchasing, production, and manufacturing is advantageous
• Proven ability in planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and task tracking
• Basic knowledge of Python coding
• Understanding of fundamental manufacturing systems for electronic components
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical skills and the capacity to work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and willingness to propose innovative ideas
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated with the capability to undertake additional tasks as needed
