EEE Parts Failure Analysis Specialist

SpaceX is seeking a highly skilled EEE Parts Failure Analysis Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our reliability engineering group, you will be responsible for investigating and analyzing failures of electronic components and subsystems to ensure the highest level of reliability and performance in our spacecraft and launch vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough failure analysis of EEE parts to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
- Develop and implement effective failure analysis and qualification plans to ensure reliability and performance of EEE parts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and testing, to ensure seamless integration of EEE parts into our spacecraft and launch vehicles
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including failure analysis reports and qualification plans
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards and technologies to ensure our EEE parts meet the highest level of reliability and performance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in reliability engineering, mechanical engineering, material science, physics, electrical engineering, or applied engineering
- 1+ years of experience with EEE part reliability and qualification, or EEE part design and construction, wafer fabrication, electronic packaging, electronic materials, or materials characterization and material stress testing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in reliability engineering, mechanical engineering, material science, physics, electrical engineering, or applied engineering
- 3+ years of experience with EEE parts engineering in commercial, automotive, military, and/or aerospace industries
- Fundamental knowledge of failure modes and mechanisms in active and passive EEE parts
- Medium-scale data management and manipulation skills, including SQL and JIRA
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
