Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the State Veterans' Nursing Home. As a Senior Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, assisting with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. You will also be responsible for observing and reporting any changes in resident condition to the primary nurse or RN supervisor.

Responsibilities:

* Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as oral hygiene, bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Routinely observe, identify, and report resident concerns/needs to supervisor
* Escort residents to appointments as required
* Complete assignments timely, completely, and accurately
* Perform restorative nursing measures as outlined in the care plan
* Measure and record vital signs as assigned
* Measure and record intake and output according to the care plan
* Observe, monitor, and report symptoms of potential skin breakdown and/or pressure ulcers to primary nurse

Requirements:

* Must be able to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
* Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
* Must possess a valid Certified Nursing Assistant license in Florida
* Must be willing and able to work a schedule that includes weekends and holidays
* Must have basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working as a CNA in a 120-bed skilled long-term care nursing facility
* High School Diploma or GED
