About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Fellow in Clinical Neuropsychology to join our team at the Child Mind Institute. This is an exceptional opportunity for a recent PhD or PsyD graduate to develop their expertise in neuropsychological assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology, neuropsychology, or a related field, and will be eligible for a limited permit to practice psychology in New York State. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and adolescents, and will be passionate about delivering evidence-based care and developing innovative programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, score, and interpret neuropsychological and educational test measures in individuals between the ages of 4 and 25 presenting with neurodevelopmental and psychiatric concerns.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical interviews with patients and/or their families.
  • Provide clear and meaningful feedback to patients and/or families on the findings of neuropsychological and educational evaluations.
  • Draft, edit, and finalize written reports of neuropsychological and educational evaluations.
  • Collaborate with health professionals, service providers, and educators to gather and share information to ensure quality care for patients.
  • Conduct detailed observations of behaviors and functioning of patients in school settings.
  • Provide evidence-based care for patients seeking academic and executive functioning remediation.
  • Create educational materials for parents and educators and present educational talks to varied stakeholders.

Requirements

  • PhD or PsyD degree from an APA-accredited program in clinical psychology, neuropsychology, or a related field.
  • Full completion of doctoral degree by the beginning of the postdoctoral fellowship.
  • Successful completion of an APA-accredited internship.
  • Eligibility for a limited permit to practice psychology in New York State.
  • A clear focus on working with children and adolescents as seen through coursework and/or clinical training.
  • A clear focus on neuropsychology as seen through coursework and/or clinical training.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $65,000 in the first year, with a substantial increase in the second year. The Child Mind Institute offers a competitive benefits package, including medical insurance, 401(k), paid parental leave, dependent care, and flexible work schedules.
