Role Overview
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care within the Pediatric Cardiac ICU/CVICU. The CNC is responsible for:
- Overseeing and coordinating all functions in the unit during designated shifts.
- Collaborating with management to direct and evaluate nursing care in alignment with established policies.
- Serving as a resource for staff and embodying the organization's mission and values.
- Facilitating efficient admission and discharge processes to enhance patient care.
- Participating in quality assessments of patient care services.
- Implementing nursing strategies to improve staff engagement and patient experience.
- Contributing to the recruitment, training, and development of nursing staff.
- Managing staff scheduling and ensuring adherence to productivity guidelines.
- Maintaining proper inventory control and assisting with supply management.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- An Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac ICU/CVICU or Critical Care nursing.
