Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN Medical Surgical Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Methodist Hospital Metropolitan. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during your designated shift.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, as well as implementing courses of action to ensure a competitively better organization.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- 1 year of Nursing experience.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse Diploma, or Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree.
