About the Role

The State of Connecticut is seeking a highly skilled Legal Investigator to join our team in Hartford, CT. As a Legal Investigator, you will play a critical role in conducting investigations and assisting in the preparation and presentation of criminal and civil actions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations into civil and criminal matters
  • Prepare and present cases in court
  • Interview witnesses, complainants, and other individuals
  • Gather and secure evidence
  • Prepare comprehensive reports
  • Testify at hearings and administrative proceedings
  • Examine and analyze records for possible violations
  • Assist state civil and criminal authorities in preparing cases for trial
Requirements
  • Seven (7) years of investigatory experience in law enforcement, insurance claims, or a closely related field
  • College training in law enforcement, public safety administration, business administration, or a closely related field may be substituted for the General Experience
  • Experience investigating cybersecurity events, data breaches, and violations of laws relating to privacy
  • Experience and interest in new and emerging technology, data science, and strategy
