Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Women's Health Physician Assistant to provide exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to physician's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues and providing information pertinent to deliberations.
  • Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining medical histories.
  • Determine abnormal conditions by administering diagnostic tests and interpreting test results.
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations, suturing, and managing wounds and infections.
  • Instruct and counsel patients by describing therapeutic regimens and providing wellness and health maintenance information.
  • Provide continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
  • Develop health care team staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
  • Form linkages with schools medical departments to establish continuity of care for patients.
Compliance Responsibilities
  • Comply with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in required orientation and training programs.
  • Report concerns and suspected incidences of non-compliance.
  • Cooperate with monitoring and audit functions and investigations.
  • Participate in process improvement responsibilities.
Requirements

Professional Experience/Educational Requirements


• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program


• Two years' experience in ambulatory care setting preferred

Certification/Licensure


• Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination


• Current PA license in the state of CT
