  • Completes all cleaning assignments as directed by the supervisor, adhering to the established cleaning schedule for the housekeeping department, which includes offices, resident quarters, restrooms, common areas, and more.
  • Handles urgent cleaning tasks as necessary.
  • Conducts thorough cleaning, dusting, washing, and sanitizing of all surfaces, including floors, walls, doors, and ceilings.
  • Polishes and maintains cleanliness of water fountains, sinks, mirrors, and other fixtures.
  • Replaces soiled slipcovers and organizes furniture and equipment neatly.
  • Cleans ledges, shelves, vents, windows, and other surfaces as required.
  • Removes and reinstalls curtains and drapes for cleaning purposes.
  • Restocks soap and towels in designated areas.
  • Empties and sanitizes waste receptacles.
  • Collaborates with staff in resident areas, lounges, and offices as assigned.
  • Oversees the thorough cleaning of rooms after residents have been discharged or relocated, preparing them for new occupants.
  • Ensures cleaning protocols are followed in isolation units as per established guidelines.
  • Vacuums and shampoos carpets and rugs, ensuring cleanliness throughout.
  • Assists in the quarterly inventory of cleaning supplies.
  • Adheres to all safety and security protocols while working in special care units.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Preferred experience of six months to one year in a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency required.
  • Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Equipment Skills: Familiarity with basic housekeeping tools and supplies is essential.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with fellow housekeeping staff, elderly residents, families, and healthcare personnel.
