Job Summary

The Colorado Judicial Branch is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Deputy Probation Officer to join our team. As a Deputy Probation Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting the mission of the Judicial Department to provide equal access to justice, contribute to public safety, and strengthen the rule of law across Colorado.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision to probation clients, managing a small case load and conducting regular check-ins via in-person, WebEx, or phone.
  • Implement incentives and sanctions, as well as assessments and case plans using SMART goals.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of client contacts and work with the JPOD computer system.
  • Write court reports, complaints, and other necessary correspondence.
  • Attend client court hearings when necessary and monitor terms and conditions of probation and all court orders.
  • Evaluate client needs and develop community referrals accordingly.
  • Work with collections investigators on collecting costs, fees, and restitution.
  • Apply Motivational Interviewing Techniques and write narratives using correct coding.

  • Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
