Role Overview:
As a vital member of our Silicon Technologies Group, you will engage with dynamic teams to facilitate various facets of design verification and analysis. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the successful deployment of nearly every GPU integrated into Apple devices through our advanced, high-performance, and energy-efficient processors, known as system-on-chip (SoC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute designated tests on relevant emulation builds, troubleshoot issues, and provide status updates.
- Participate in system debugging by capturing waveforms and creating triggers.
- Develop emulation models and resolve any build-related challenges.
- Utilize emulation capabilities to expedite silicon bring-up processes.
- Enhance existing infrastructure to support new features and improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of CPU and/or GPU architecture and microarchitecture.
- Proficiency in reading HDL code.
- Capability to debug hardware issues using waveform analysis.
- Programming expertise in languages such as C, Perl, Ruby, Python, and System Verilog.
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with no prior industry experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to write synthesizable HDL code.
- Knowledge of graphics, including 3D graphics pipelines and OGL/OCL programming.
- General verification skills.
