Job Summary:

As an Escrow Officer at Old Republic Title, you will be responsible for managing the closing process of real estate transactions. This includes reviewing and analyzing Earnest Money Contracts, title commitments, and closing instructions to determine the most effective and efficient means to professionally perform real estate closings.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct real estate closings with borrowers and sellers and their representatives, disbursing funds, recording documents, and returning closing packages to lenders.
Manage the workflow of assigned Escrow Assistants, ensuring all necessary documents are in the file prior to closing.
Develop unique and effective strategies to retain current customers, making them repeat customers.
Prepare settlement statements in accordance with the terms of the Earnest Money Contract, lender's closing instructions, and applicable federal and state rules and regulations.
Conduct professional closings, following lender's closing instructions, ensuring all funds are receipted and good, and confirming the disbursement sheet matches the settlement statement.

Requirements:

Aptitude for figures and accounting functions, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to understand and interpret complex federal and state rules and regulations applicable to the title insurance industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
