Job Title: Escrow Officer

Old Republic Title is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Escrow Officer to join our team. As an Escrow Officer, you will be responsible for managing the closing process from start to finish, ensuring that all transactions are completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the workflow of assigned Escrow Assistants, ensuring that all necessary documents are in the file prior to closing.
  • Develop and implement strategies to retain current customers and convert them into repeat customers.
  • Review and sign title commitments, determine how to cure any title problems, and comply with specific instructions.
  • Prepare settlement statements, confirm taxes and maintenance are correct, and compute taxes for new constructions.
  • Communicate with builders, real estate agents, mortgage companies, and other stakeholders regarding closing instructions and title company requirements.
  • Conduct professional closings, following lender's closing instructions, ensuring all funds are receipted and good funds, and confirming disbursement sheets match settlement statements.
  • Ensure all documents are timely recorded, and assigned Escrow Assistants accurately prepare packages and ship them to lenders.
  • Assist in developing and achieving revenue goals and budgets.
  • Make time-sensitive choices in matters with significant financial impact on the Company during the closing process.
  • Professionally handle and resolve complaints or disputes surrounding the closing transaction.
Requirements:
  • Aptitude for figures and accounting functions, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex federal and state rules and regulations applicable to the title insurance industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
