Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Occupational Therapist to join our Special Services Department. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing services to students with special needs, enabling them to benefit from special education or regular education in the least restrictive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services to students with special needs, addressing their functional needs and improving their ability to perform tasks in educational settings.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths and areas of need.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student independence and self-advocacy.
Requirements
  • Be a currently licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) in the state of North Carolina.
  • Hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Have a minimum of 6-9 months of supervised clinical fieldwork experience.
  • Be certified by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.
