Job Summary:

As a Dietitian at CommonSpirit Health, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to our patients. You will be responsible for developing and implementing patient plans of care based on evidence-based practice and nutritional needs. Your expertise will be sought after by the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement patient plans of care based on evidence-based practice and nutritional needs.
  • Interpret and evaluate current research related to nutritional care.
  • Evaluate nutritional interventions and provide follow-up to ensure continuity of care.
  • Counsel individuals and families in nutritional principles, dietary plans, and food selection.
  • Communicate nutritional care data through all record systems.
  • Participate in health team meetings and serve as the expert on nutritional care.
  • Promote communication between departments as a patient advocate to facilitate patient care.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or related field.
  • Registered as a Dietitian (RD) by Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Licensed Dietitian in Iowa.
  • Outpatient Oncology: Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition (CSO) by Commission on Dietetic Registration within 36 months from date of hire.
  • Diabetes Educator: Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) within 39 months of hire.
