Job Title: Dietitian

At CHI Health Mercy Corning, our mission is to provide high-quality care to residents of Adams and Taylor counties in Iowa. Our team of healthcare professionals works together to deliver comprehensive care in a familiar and comfortable environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement patient care plans based on evidence-based practice and nutritional needs.
  • Interpret and evaluate current research related to nutritional care and provide follow-up to ensure continuity of care.
  • Counsel individuals and families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, and food selection, adapting plans to meet individual needs.
  • Communicate nutritional care data through all record systems and participate in health team meetings.
  • Promote communication between departments as a patient advocate to facilitate care and provide nutrition education to hospital personnel and the community.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and registration as a Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Licensed Dietitian in Iowa.
  • Outpatient Oncology: Certification as a Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition (CSO) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 36 months from date of hire.
  • Diabetes Educator: Certification as a Diabetes Educator (CDE) within 39 months of hire.
