Job Summary:

The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing food and serving customers in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. This includes obtaining daily production schedules and preparation requirements from the Chef, preparing items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes, and completing and following daily production worksheets and waste log sheets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare food and ingredients according to recipes and production standards.
  • Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use.
  • Store, label, and date all food items according to policy and follow HACCP guidelines.
  • Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time.
  • Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
  • Complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations.
  • Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
Requirements:
  • Prior prep cook experience is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
