Youth Treatment Specialist

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and coaching to youth in a therapeutic milieu environment
  • Assess and respond to youth behavior for risk to self and others or behavioral changes within the treatment milieu
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide active sight and sound supervision to youth and families with complex needs
  • Document youth participation in activities and interactions with others per program standards
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 21 years old (at least 2 years older than the oldest resident)
  • Working knowledge of computer applications
  • Ability to display cultural competence and respond respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures, languages, classes, races, ethnic backgrounds, religions, and other diversity factors
  • Valid driver's license, automobile, and insurance sufficient to meet agency requirements
Working Conditions

The Youth Treatment Specialist will work in a State Certified Youth Crisis Stabilization Facility (YCSF) and will be required to provide coverage as needed. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and provide support to youth who have experienced a great deal of trauma and express their needs through behaviors.
