Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled EEG Technician to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As an EEG Technician, you will be responsible for operating an electroencephalograph to measure impulse frequencies and differences in electrical potential between various areas of the brain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform EKGs and EEGs for in-patient and outpatient populations, including routine and long-term video EEG monitoring
  • Conduct Transcranial Doppler studies to evaluate cerebral blood flow
  • Accurately record Evoked Potential responses, including Visual Evoked Responses and Modified Baer
  • Perform Holter monitor hookups and scanning of holter monitor tapes
  • Set up and operate 12 or 24-hour pneumogram hookups with or without pulse oximetry for in-patient pediatrics and neonates
  • Conduct cardiac exercise treadmill testing, routine, and pharmacological, and Tilt table stress
  • Schedule patients for procedures and maintain diagnostic equipment
  • Notify physicians daily for exam interpretation and file reports
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • BLS Certification
