Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Neuro Diagnostic Technician to join our team at Ascension Alexian Brothers Medical Center. As a Neuro Diagnostic Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic electroencephalograph (EEG) testing, attaching and operating electrodes, and reviewing patient records.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic EEG testing and attach, connect, and operate electrodes from specified body areas to leads from electroencephalograph machine.
  • Review patient records and instruct patients prior to procedures.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and report any abnormal findings.
  • Identify and correct for artifacts.
  • Edit and forward results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
  • Maintain EEG equipment and supplies.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ABRET Registered EEG Technician - STRONGLY PREFERRED.
  • Level 3 epilepsy accreditation - STRONGLY PREFERRED.
