Job Summary:

The Veterinary Front Desk Associate is the first point of contact for clients and plays a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for pet owners. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including medical history and contact information.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to client inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Schedule appointments and surgeries, ensuring timely and efficient communication with clients and staff.
  • Process payments and handle financial transactions, including credit card processing and cash handling.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff members to ensure seamless communication and efficient patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date on veterinary terminology, procedures, and best practices to provide accurate and informed responses to client inquiries.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and staff.
  • Ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of veterinary software systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
