About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hardware Test Technician to join our team at Medtronic in Billerica, MA. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for performing functional and safety testing of our cardiac ablation generator product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
  • Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operate related equipment, conduct tests, and report data in a prescribed format.
  • Adjust and calibrate systems as needed.
  • Modify equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams and sketches.
  • Participate in and lead investigations for process and product non-conformances.
  • Use various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties.
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  • Responsible for implementing activities in production areas to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Experience handling multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Good communication skills (both written and interpersonal). Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment to achieve results.
  • Excellent data analysis skills.
  • Ensures processes and procedures follow regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated industry.
  • Experience in medical device production or manufacturing environment.
  • IPC A 610 experience – Soldering Certification/Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies.
  • IPC A 620 experience – Requirements and Acceptance for Cable/Wire Harness Assemblies.
  • Operate and maintain test and inspection equipment, including ohmmeters, multimeters, electrical continuity testers, oscilloscope, and Hi Pot testers.
  • Must be proficient in all MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A roll-up-your-sleeves-and-jump-in-where-help-is-needed mentality.
  • Ability to lift 40lbs.
  • Ethical acumen.
  • Lead by example.
