About the Position
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, depending on experience. This is a faculty position that requires providing clinical care, teaching medical students and residents, and participating in research and scholarly activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical services to patients admitted to the hospital and ambulatory clinics.
- Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and other health professionals.
- Conduct clinical and/or translational research in the field of Pediatric Infectious Disease.
- Participate in infection prevention and antibiotic stewardship committees.
- Provide phone consultations for other hospitals and pediatric offices in Illinois.
- Provide guidance for community outbreaks.
Requirements
- MD/DO degree or equivalent.
- Board certification/board eligibility in Pediatric Infectious Disease.
- Will hold or be eligible for an Illinois physician license.
